SANTA MONICA—Once again, summer has passed too quickly. It
has been another fun and eventful summer in Santa Monica, and as summer draws
near its end, and fall begins, here are some events occurring in Santa Monica
to look forward to this September.
Cycle for Heroes: This four hour, rock inspired, outdoor
cycling event, presented by The Heroes Project, benefits wounded soldiers. The
event will take place on the Santa Monica Pier on the eleventh
anniversary of 9/11. The cost is $125 per individual non-team rider or $500 per
team bike is suggested. Every dollar counts to help our nations wounded heroes.
The top three teams and individual fundraisers will receive
VIP luxury gifts. The deadline for registration is Sunday, September 9,

Septemberfest: Come down to the Santa Monica Pier on
Saturday, September 22 to enjoy beer, food trucks and music in Santa Monica’s
version of Oktoberfest. Featured at Septemberfest will be over 150 beers,
plenty of food, and music from Petty Cash and Black Crystal Wolf Kids. It is
$40 for general admission and $50 for VIP; food is sold separately. For more

Silversun Pickups Concert: The acclaimed alternative rock
band, Silversun Pickups will be playing with School of Seven Bells and Atlas
Genius at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. The doors open at 7:00 p.m. and
the show starts at 8:00. Tickets are $40.
