SANTA MONICA—Martin Weiss, a 47 year-old self-employed
talent agent for children was arrested on Tuesday, November 29. He was charged
with eight counts of child molestation. Weiss was arrested at his Santa Monica
home by the Los Angeles Police Department detectives who also issued a search
warrant for the arrest.
According to reports, Weiss is a self-employed talent
agent who specifically, works with child actors. He has been running the
business out of his home for the last 14 years. Before he began his talent
agency, Weiss would work as costumed characters or even the Easter Bunny at
children’s parties.
A victim of Weiss came forward about a week ago, to
confess allegations that Weiss repeatedly molested him within a three-year time
frame between the years of 2005-2008. These alleged incidents occurred in
Woodland Hills as well as Weiss’ Santa Monica home.
The victim decided to keep the molestation acts to
himself out of fear for himself, his career and his family. He broke his
silence out of concern that Weiss may be harming others as well.
Deputy District Attorney Rhonda Brody has filed several
counts against Weiss. The number of counts are as follows; two counts of lewd
acts with a child, one count of forced lewd acts with a child, two counts of continuous
