Man Arrested For Santa Monica Burglary

SANTA MONICA—Authorities arrested a 20 year-old
Venice man on Friday, July 5, after he broke into a car and stole the belongings inside.
Fingerprints helped the
Santa Monica police identify the suspect in the case.
The victim, who lived on the 300 block of
Bay Street, told officers that someone had entered his vehicle some time between May 26 and May 30 and taken tools and some coins from the vehicle.
On June 20, investigators identified a fingerprint from the evidence as the connecting it to the suspect and a warrant was put out for his arrest.
Officers discovered a jack belonging to the victim inside the suspect’s home.
The man was charged with burglary and his bail was set at $20,000.
