A piece of history has been sold to a new owner. The landmark Santa Monica Pier ferris wheel, which has graced the Santa Monica pier for 12 years, has been sold on Ebay for the price of $132,400.

Santa Monica Police are looking for a man who broke into a woman's apartment and attacked her with a knife.  The suspect was able to enter through an open window while the victim was asleep.

Authorities in Santa Monica arrested Joaquin Palmer in connection to a string of burglaries that have occurred in the city.  The suspect faces up to nine felony counts of residential burglary.

A man in his late 30s was killed when his vehicle crashed into a tree on Sunday, March 30, 2008 in Santa Monica.  Authorities don't believe any other vehicles were involved in the incident.

Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was found dead in his apartment on March 19. Authorities have indicated that the victim is Alexander Merman, who was an art school teacher.

Authorities are investigating the murder of, Juliana Redding, an aspiring actress whose body was found Sunday night in her Santa Monica apartment. She was found dead "as the result of an assault."
