SHERMAN OAKS—A suspicious package at a McDonald’s prompted the bomb squad to come in and investigate the situation on Friday, May 17. The McDonald’s restaurant, which is between Woodman and Hazeltine Avenue, was closed off during the investigation as well as the entire 13900 block of Ventura Boulevard.

Officials were called after it was reported that an individual came into the restaurant, left a case, and then left, leading to suspicions of a possible bomb threat. Police have reportedly arrested a man in connection to the scare, however, no bombs or weapons of any kind were recovered.

After a few hours, police gave the all-clear and re-opened the restaurant as well as Ventura Boulevard during the early afternoon.
