SHERMAN OAKS—On Thursday, March 10, just hours after
filing a $100 million lawsuit against Warner Brothers Studios and “Two and a
Half Men” creator/producer Chuck Lorre, Charlie Sheen’s residence was raided
overnight by LAPD officers, who were searching for guns and other weapons in
the star’s home. Any weapons in Sheen’s home would be a violation of the
court’s restraining order, which was granted by an L.A. Superior Court judge
last week after his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, filed for an order of protection
against Sheen.

Sheen’s sons, Max and Bob, have been out of his custody for a week now, and
Sheen has repeatedly stated he wants to see them. He’s represented in the
custody case by famed attorney Mark Gross of Brot and Gross, LLP in Sherman
Oaks. Gross specializes in family related issues and custody. He could not be
reached as of press time. Sheen also has hired a prominent entertainment
litigator, Marty Singer, in his lawsuit filed on Thursday in a court in Santa
Monica. The filing accuses the studio and the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, of
wrongful termination. Sheen is seeking punitive damages in addition to his
lawsuit.
The actor's Sherman Oaks residence was raided because he
was suspected of having weapons, which would be a violation of the order of
protection. It is uncertain who made the call to police.
Norma Eisenman, a spokesperson for the LAPD said, “His
Temporary Restraining Order states that [a] restrained person cannot own,
possess, have, buy, or try to buy, receive or try to receive, or in any other
way get guns, other firearms or ammunition. It came to the attention of
detectives that Mr. Sheen may have weapons in his home, and they are visiting
him to make sure that he is abiding by the terms of his TRO.”
L.A.’s premiere victims advocate attorney, Robin Sax, has
been involved with many infamous cases. She helped to find and seek prosecution
of John Mark Karr, who once falsely claimed to be with 6-year-old child beauty
queen JonBenet Ramsey at the time she was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and
murdered in her parents’ Boulder, Colo. home in 1996. Sax tells Canyon News,
“If anyone believes a person who has this type of restraining order against
them is in violation of that order, they should contact police. I do not know
the details of this particular case right now, but I can assure you the LAPD
takes these matters very seriously and must have felt a need to investigate.”
Sheen quickly went to his Twitter account and tweeted,
“#fastball: all good here on homefront. all reports are false. I’ll explain
more very soon. [sic]” Then soon after his initial tweet, he wrote,
“#fastball; the LAPD were AWESOME. Absolute pros! they can protect and serve
this Warlock anytime!!! c. [sic]”
Also overnight, Sheen’s attorney and his estranged wife’s
attorney both released a joint statement to the AP, which said, in part, that
the two parties have “reached an agreement that resolves their differences.”
The statement went on to say, “terms of such agreement will remain confidential.”
Legal observers feel Sheen has to end his custody battle soon in order to
prepare to fight the iconic Warner Brothers Studios. “If left alone, I’m sure
Charlie (Sheen) and Brooke (Mueller) can work things out with the help of their
respective attorneys. Both have great attorneys in this matter and this has
absolutely nothing to do with Sheen’s legal battle against the studio, which I
believe he’s going to win,” said famous defense attorney Mickey Sherman.
Calls to Sheen’s residence were not returned.
