Twenty-three year-old Timothy Truc was driving alone when his car hit a center divider, overturned and then burst into flames. Two men, off-duty security guard Khoren Mourjhian and Jason Abraham, noticed the incident and stopped at the scene to offer their assistance.

Mourjhian had a knife which he used to cut the motorist's seatbelt and pulled the unconscious Truc out of the still-burning car before it began to blow up. Truc was taken to Northridge Hospital with moderate injuries. Reports indicate that he was later arrested due to the suspicion of driving under the influence.
