SHERMAN OAKS—A man was saved after suffering a car crash on the northbound 405 Freeway near the 101 Freeway interchange in Sherman Oaks on Sunday, November 11, at approximately 3:15 a.m.
Twenty-three year-old Timothy Truc was driving alone when his car hit a center divider, overturned and then burst into flames. Two men, off-duty security guard Khoren Mourjhian and Jason Abraham, noticed the incident and stopped at the scene to offer their assistance.
Mourjhian had a knife which he used to cut the motorist's seatbelt and pulled the unconscious Truc out of the still-burning car before it began to blow up. Truc was taken to Northridge Hospital with moderate injuries. Reports indicate that he was later arrested due to the suspicion of driving under the influence.
