Cynthia Vincent's Anniversary Collection
Posted by Camille Sarabia on Aug 1, 2013 - 9:16:01 AM

STUDIO CITY—Fashion designer, Cynthia Vincent celebrates 10 years of her brand Twelfth Street, with an anniversary collection known as the Resort Collection.   Topanga Canyon was used as a source material for prints in her new collection.

Vincent was a rising star in the fashion world as her M.A.G.I.C scholarship took her to the Otis Art Institute of the Parsons School of Design in New York to starting her own line, St. Vincent, in 1993.  Vincent’s designs, known for their vibrant tribal and floral prints, light fabrics and bohemian youthful style, rose to fame in 2003 as she changed her company’s name to Twelfth Street and garnered celebrity appeal.

Twelfth Street has grown over the past 10 years since its debut at the 2003 Mercedes Benz Fashion week representing ready to wear women’s wear and has expanded to accommodating designed handbags and footwear.  Twelfth Street is globally recognized and sold at Barneys New York,  The brand is also sold in over 300 specialty stores across the U.S. and select stores in Dubai, Japan and Europe.

To celebrate a decade of Twelfth Street, sales success, capsule lines for Target, QVC, a New York boutique and celebrity clients such as Gwenyth Paltrow, Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, Kate Hudson, Miley Cyrus and Rachel Bilson, Vincent has launched the Resort Collection.

The Resort Collection keeps hold of Vincent’s unique style and bohemian bliss.  This collection will also feature past iconic pieces and celebrity favorites, such as best-selling sweaters and a collection of signature footwear.  The Anniversary Collection will release nine of the best-selling Twelfth Street shoes from the past decade.

This LA based designer is inspired by Los Angeles cities.  Neighborhoods within Echo Park, Studio City and Venice were all used as source material for her Resort Collection prints.  The collection will open in retail stores starting in October and even includes a Los Angeles inspired scarf with a map of LA on it.  Fans of Cynthia Vincent’s designs can expect “Bold colors and ethnic prints permeate a wide range of pieces, from maxi-dresses to harem pants, which are balanced by neutrals and simple sandals,” says, describing Vincent’s style.
