STUDIO CITY—On Friday, November 25, the Los Angeles Police Detectives arrived at the scene of a shopping center located in Studio City to investigate the death of a local man. An unidentified victim was found dead in a water fountain around 7:15a.m., at the 12265 block of Ventura Boulevard which is west of Laurel Canyon. The shopping center, the California Pavilion houses a California Pizza Kitchen, Jamba Juice and Flight Center.

According to an official statement from authorities of the LAPD’s North Hollywood Community Police station to Canyon News, the death is still under investigation. They suspect no foul play has taken place. The cause of death is pending upon autopsy from the LA Coroner’s office. Detectives believe the cause of death may have been a result of drowning.

Based on reports; witnesses who were at the location when the body was discovered said business owners within the area speculate that the victim may have been a homeless man who became a frequent visitor in the neighborhood. Supposedly, he may have fallen into the fountain within the early hours of the day. The identity and name has not yet been released pending an investigation from the LA Coroner’s office. No new information is available at this time.
