STUDIO CITY—The Helpful Honda Dealers along with Pet Care Center, What’s Up Dog! and the Stray Cat Alliance hosted the Helpful Pet Adoption event on Sunday, March 24 at CBS studios in Studio City.
The Helpful Honda Dealers team were out on foot to bring awareness towards the issue of pet adoption as the “most humane and beneficial way to bring pets into the family” according to their spokeswoman, Tracy Galermo.
“The guys in blue,” as they are usually referred to, hope to aid in decreasing overpopulation and euthanasia among pets through their efforts.
The event provided a variety of special promotions such as adoption fee discounts, pet matchmaking services, food trucks for charity, face painting and other Easter-themed activities.
The SoCal Helpful Honda Dealers Association was established in 2007 representing 60 dealers from various cities in the Southern Californian region. The program was organized to demonstrate the Southern California Honda Dealer’s commitment to providing help and service to local residents in the area.
The guys in blue also volunteer at local food banks, blood drives, senior citizen homes and animal shelters, as well as surprise residents with “random acts of helpfulness” that include cleaning public parks and beaches.
To this date they has visited over 10,000 locations in the area to provide their assistance.
The Helpful Honda Pet Adoption events will continue well into the month of April.
