Studio City News
STUDIO CITY—The summer season always ensures higher gas prices, and with economic hardships making gas prices high already, citizens need to be on the lookout for cheaper prices. The California average price for gas by the gallon stands at $3.67 with the trend surprisingly decreasing despite the season and its past patterns of gas rising closer to $4.00 per gallon.
Los Angeles gas prices have seen a leveling off, with no increase or decrease to pricing as it stands at roughly $3.69 a gallon on average. For travelers, vacationers, and workers commuting in and out of the Los Angeles area, it is important to locate cheaper gas as it remains.
The lowest regular gas prices found in Studio City is USA Gasoline off of Ventura Blvd and Whitsett Ave at $3.53 a gallon. Arco on Cahuegna Blvd. and Regal Pl. is $3.59 per gallon, and Arco on Coldwater Canyon Ave. and Moorpark St. is $3.63 per gallon. These prices are 30-40 cents cheaper than at more expensive gas stations in Studio City such as Mobil on Laurel Canyon Blvd. and Moorpark St. at $3.91 per gallon and the 76 station at Ventura Blvd. and Coldwater Canyon Ave., with prices of $3.93 per gallon of gas.
The neighboring city of Hollywood has gas prices as low as $3.59 per gallon at Arco off of Franklin Ave. and Gower St., and Shell gasoline off of Sunset Blvd. and N. Wilton Pl. stands at $3.65 per gallon. A few blocks down, compared to forty cents more per gallon of gas, can add up quick in this hot summer with many people commuting and vacationing.
So be informed when you go to the pump!
