COOK LA is known for their “unique hands-on cooking class that caters to a myriad of culinary needs,” as stated on their website.  It is their blend of gourmet meals and teaching skills to different cookers with a range of skills that makes them stand out.  COOK LA provides classes with a variety of worldwide cuisines and a fun and inviting atmosphere for each to take part in.  Each class includes a prepping station for each person that includes a set of cooking tools and concludes with a dinner party with the food prepared and an occasional wine pairing.

COOK LA’s very own Chef Liz will be sharing her culinary skills for the night to teach and prepare authentic Cuban dishes.  She opened COOK LA in 2010 where she is “dedicated to cooking with organic, seasonal and local ingredients,” states COOK LA.com.  The Florida-born chef was known previously for her event planning, premiere parties and holiday meal talents, but rooting herself in Los Angeles opened the opportunity for teaching.  Chef Liz has stated, “I also have a passion for teaching. I truly believe the kitchen is a place to learn about food and above all enjoy the experience,” regarding her combination of teaching and cooking.

Upcoming classes include: French Pastries Baking and Sushi Making 101.  For more information or to sign up for a class contact COOK LA at (818) 760-5157.  Their address is 10938 Ventura Blvd.
