STUDIO CITY/SHERMAN OAKS—A new website launched by realtor Heather Farquhar on Tuesday, September 3, is designed to help homeowners determine the value of their home in Studio City.

Farquhar said she developed the site, called “What’s My Studio City Home Worth,” after always hearing the same questions: How's the real estate market? Do you think I can sell my home and make some money? Is it a good time to buy?

“I developed this website to help answer these questions,” she said. “Using this tool will show sellers market trends in Studio City, it charts live market activity including sold homes, an interactive map, active listings, how many homes are on the market and days-on-market. This is information that used to be available only to Realtors now I have put it at your fingertips," she added.

One of the many easy-to-use and simple tools is the two-step Comparative Market Analysis (CMA), which allows a homeowner to look at comparable properties. The Market Snapshot then sends an updated monthly CMA to the users inbox without ever having to talk to a realtor, according to Farquhar.

After hearing many of the same questions, Todd Riley, a realtor in Sherman Oaks, launched a similar website that is geared toward Sherman Oaks residents.

"This is an amazing tool for Sherman Oaks Home Owners,” he said. “It gives them the ability to monitor the value of their homes as frequently as they would like. The tool uses up-to-date comparable sales data, places them on an interactive map and presents list vs. sales price, days on market and presents them alongside Active and Pending Listings in Owners Neighborhoods," he added.

Riley said the Market Snapshot produces tables and graphs that monitor trends in their real estate market.

“I can't think of a better tool out there for Sherman Oaks Home Owners to monitor the values of their homes," he said.

Riley and Farquhar are both realtors at Keller Williams in Studio City. For more information on both websites, visit for Studio City or for Sherman Oaks.
