The management plan by District 29 includes how to tackle the water shortage and classification of proper water supplies to meet future water demands and preservation practices.

Based on Legislative Senate Bill X7-7, the achievement of this plan would contribute to the 20 percent diminution by the year 2020. According to the Urban Water Management Plan, from 2006 until now, modifications such as pipeline replacement and pump station improvements have taken place and were priced at nearly $10 million. To advance the dependability of water services, quite a few projects have been assembled in order to attack the “growing population, natural disasters, and outdated water system.”

Copies of the management plans have been made available at the Lloyd Taber Marina Del Rey County Library, the Malibu Library and other locations. Comments have been asked to be submitted no later than June 16 to Los Angeles County Waterworks, District 29, Attn: Fong Trinh P.O. Box 1460 Alhambra, Calif. 91802. Faxes also can be sent to 626-300-3385.
