CANYON—Meatless Mondays is back at
Canyon’s The Canyon Bistro beginning Monday, July 15.
Meatless Mondays supports
Canyon’s efforts of educating and encouraging people the benefits of forgoing meat for at least one meal a week. This dinner at the Canyon Bistro, a local restaurant, will celebrate their sixth year in Topanga by offering meatless, vegetarian meals for one night.
Meatless Mondays, not only a Topanga Canyon tradition, is an international campaign that enforces the idea to not eat meat one day on Mondays to improve the health of citizens and the planet. This nutritional campaign, formed by the United States Department of Agriculture, is joined by the Kids Cook Monday, Monday 2000, Quit and Stay Quit Monday, Move it Monday, The Monday Mile and other organizations. The purpose of this campaign is to start off the week with healthy reminders, habits and strong physical activity levels.

The dinner will include jazz music from the Ed Wing duo on their outside patio from 7 to 9 p.m. every Monday night.
The collection of The Canyon Bistro’s menu comes from owner Larry Cohn and his home warming culinary palette and taste for family meals. Cohn started the Canyon Bistro in October 2007.
