The Summer Concert Series is conducted for the purpose of highlighting all that Topanga Canyon has to offer.  From the beautiful rustic environment to delightful food and culture to the artistic influence of musicians and artists and to the heart of the community, the summer concert series displays the best of area.  The concert's goal is to draw in a crowd from surrounding cities like Venice, Malibu and Thousand Oaks.  According to Brad Burkhart, a publicist for The Oak Grove at Ribbit Topanga, he said, “We are already gathering positive responses from people in Topanga and elsewhere.”

The event will start at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.  In competition with the previous Topanga events, Topanga Days Festival and Topanga Earth Day, the concert will meet the demand of entertainment, food and fun.  Topanga Green Feast will provide brunch and lunch baskets.  The event does charge admission, but children 12 and under are half price and children 5 and under are free.  This is an event for the whole family to enjoy together.

Kasi Jones is known as “Tina Turner meets Gwen Stefani at the disco.”  She has shared the stage with Rock n’ Roll legend Rodger Daltry, opened for Grammy winner Robin Thicke, performed in the award winning “Love Lace: A Rock Opera” and has performed all over.  Lisbeth Scott is a singer/songwriter whose skill is used in theatrical films.  She has written and performed in musical scores such as: “The Big Wedding,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,” “Prince Caspian,” “ Munich,” “Iron Man 2” and HBO’s “True Blood.”

The Summer Concert Series will provide five weeks, throughout five months, of music, entertainment and artistry for the community.
