HOLLYWOOD—A security guard was shot in a gang-related incident. The altercation occurred at a strip mall parking lot located on Santa Monica Boulevard.
TOPANGA CANYON—There have been three incidents in which gas has been stolen from mail delivery trucks parked at the Topanga Canyon Post Office at night.

A man
died while hiking with another person in
TopangaState Park
on Friday, December 26, 2008. The case is still currently under investigation
by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A man, around 60 or 70-years-old, jumped to his death on October 12 at Westfield Topanga mall. The name of the man has not been released. The incident occurred at 11:45 a.m. behind a garage parking lot.
The body of a male victim was found inside of a burning vehicle on Tuesday, August 26. The incident occurred at
Topanga Canyon Boulevard and
Pacific Coast Highway. The victim remains unidentified.
Topanga Creek has been blocked by a 30-foot berm since the 1960s because locals changed the path of the creek to enable residential life; a city project has begun on August 11 to restore the area.
