WEST HOLLYWOOD—Actor Edward Furlong who played John Connor in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger was recently arrested by police for allegedly violating a restraining order.
Furlong who is also known for his role in “American History X” as Edward Norton’s younger brother, was found hiding in a property that was near his ex-girlfriend’s home. He was arrested Thursday, May 16 after Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officers were called to his ex-girlfriend’s home in West Hollywood. He was reportedly released on Saturday, May 18 on a bail of $100,000.
This is not Furlong’s first run in with the law. He has had two restraining orders taken out against him, one by his ex-wife and another by his ex-girlfriend. In January 2013, he was charged with battery of his ex-girlfriend. That case lead to the current restraining order being put in place, which he allegedly broke. He has also struggled with substance abuse problems, specifically with cocaine and heroin addiction.
In March, Furlong had been sentenced to six months in state jail for violation of his probation in a 2010 case. In that case, he also violated a similar restraining order.
