According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the incident was reported at 5:45 a.m. on Sunday at a residence in the 1400 block of Laurel Avenue. Furlong, known for his performances in "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" and "American History X," was taken into custody and booked at Men's Central Jail with a $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Tuesday in Beverly Hills and is expected to plead not guilty.

The 35-year-old actor is also being arraigned on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant dealing with a misdemeanor domestic violence charge that occurred on December 12 to the same victim, his girlfriend Monica Keena. Furlong failed to show up at a scheduled hearing which led to the bench warrant that was issued for his arrest.

In 2007, Furlong was charged with public intoxication after he was arrested at a Kentucky grocery store. Furlong was arrested again in 2011 on suspicion of violating a restraining order which required him to keep his distance of 100 yards from his estranged wife, Rachel Kneeland.

Furlong was taken into custody in October at Los Angeles International Airport at the arrivals level of Terminal two on suspicion of domestic violence.
