Furlong, 35, allegedly violated a restraining order when he went to his girlfriend’s home in West Hollywood on May 21. The actor has been charged with battery and damaging a laptop and photography equipment.

At the time of being charged with assault, Furlong also allegedly had two pending misdemeanor cases. His total charges include assault with the likelihood of producing great physical injury or vandalism, deterring the victim from informing the police by using coercion or threat and also for disobeying a restraining order. He is being held on bail for $100,000.

According to the Public Information Officer Jane Robbins from the Los Angeles Country District Attorney’s Office, the actor pleaded not guilty during his hearing.

His pending misdemeanor cases were also allegedly against the victim, and they have been dismissed since prosecutors have added them to this new case of assault.

Furlong has to return to court on July 1 in order to set a date for his preliminary hearing in Department 142 at the Airport Court.

If convicted, the actor will face up to four years in state prison.
