WEST HOLLYWOOD—The 19-year-old Francesca Eastwood, daughter of actor Clint Eastwood and actress Frances Fisher has been given the title of Miss Golden Globe 2013. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association made the announcement on November 29.

It is understood that children of celebrities are habitually the honorees, although they have attained success for their own merit. The 70th Golden Globe Awards will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. PST on NBC. The hosts for the evening’s gala will be Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Eastwood has participated in films alongside her parents from an early age. Some of those films she’s appeared in include "The Stars Fell on Henrietta" and "True Crime." She is currently co-starring with her step-mother Dina Eastwood and younger half-sister in E!’s "Mrs. Eastwood and Company. She also expressed her excitement and how the Golden Globes has been an event she’s watched since she was a young girl. Her role during the ceremony is to help hand out the awards. At the moment, Eastwood is attending The University of Southern California.

Earlier Miss/Mister Golden Globe honorees include: Freddie Prinze Jr. (son of Freddie Prinze), Melanie Griffith (daughter of Tippi Hedren), Rumer Willis (daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore) and Gia Mantegna (daughter of Joe Mantegna) to name only a few.
