Halloween Costume Carnaval Coming Soon
Posted by Damian Kelly on Oct 23, 2012 - 10:29:32 PM

WEST HOLLYWOOD—Santa Monica Boulevard will once again be taken over by thousands of people dressed in their best Halloween attire as the Halloween Carnaval, the city’s annual celebration, takes place.

From 6pm to 11pm on Wednesday, October 31, Santa Monica Blvd. between La Cienega Boulevard and Doheny Drive will be closed.

Three large stages featuring various themes and entertainers will help entertain Carnaval participants.

In order to accommodate visitors to the event, which is free, the City of West Hollywood will suspend permit parking, but will enforce all meter parking.  This will take place from 11a.m. on Wednesday, October 31 to 6a.m. on Thursday, November 1.  The suspension doesn’t apply, however, when reaching the city limits of Los Angeles where all parking restrictions should be observed.

A list of public parking lots that will be open during the event can be found at www.weho.org/index.aspx?page=1180.

For those preferring public transport, the city will provide a CityLine service on Halloween during the usual hours of 5:30p.m. to 12:30a.m.  The route will operate along Santa Monica Boulevard between La Cienega Boulevard and Fuller Avenue, and Sunset Boulevard between La Cienega Boulevard and Horn Avenue.

For more information about the West Hollywood Costume Carnaval, please call the City of West Hollywood’s Halloween Hotline at 323-848-6503.
