WEST HOLLYWOOD—Various reports allege that the comedian Katt Williams pulled a gun at a heckler at the Comedy Store in West Hollywood during the early morning hours on July 2. TMZ first reported news of the incident involving an altercation with Williams and a group of men.

When the cops arrived at the scene, Williams had already left. According to reports, Williams indicated he was assaulted by several gang members and denied that he pulled a gun. According to reports, no one was hurt at the scene, but the incident is still under investigation by authorities.

Williams has had several run-ins with the law. On November 13, 2006, the comedian was arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport, after police found a stolen gun in his brief case. At the time, he pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge for carrying a concealed weapon, and was sentenced to three years’ probation.

Another incident occurred in November 2010, when the police arrested Williams for stealing $3,500 worth of coins and jewelry. He was released on a $40,000 bond and later was charged for burglary and criminal trespass. On June 11, 2011, he was arrested allegedly for attacking a tractor driver.

On November 9, 2012, a lawsuit was filed against Williams for assaulting his assistant. That same week on November 15, he was arrested for beating an 18-year-old man with a bottle.

The comedian is most famous for his standup. His first standup special was "Katt Williams: Live: Let a Playa Play" was released in 2006. Williams has starred in such films as “Friday After Next,” “Scary Movie 5” and “First Sunday.”
