WEST HOLLYWOOD—The high-end retail store, Kitson, was burglarized on Wednesday, August 7, when the burglar used construction equipment to tunnel through the exterior wall inside the building.
The Kitson boutique, located on
Robertson Boulevard, was broken into by a burglar who stole store merchandise that totaled close to $8,000. The burglar’s motive was to steal items from Brian Lichtenberg’s Homies Line.
The suspect is believed to be a man about 6 feet tall. Authorities investigating the scene, believe the intruder spent 18 minutes in the store according to what the security cameras picked up. His entrance was through a restroom in the back, where he used his construction equipment to cut a hole in the dry wall and tunnel his way into the store.

The Kitson LA store director believes that the suspect had a thorough plan and a well grasped understanding of the store, its layout, hours, brands and weakness. Kitson and its Brian Lichtenberg brand were specifically targeted in this heist.
The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m., but the West Hollywood Kitson employees weren't aware of the burglary until Thursday, August 8 and notified the authorities. Police are still in search of the suspect.
