WEST HOLLYWOOD—A local resident is among the 12 contestants on the latest installment of reality television show “Big Brother” which began its 14th season on Thursday, July 12.
Iocco says the most difficult part of living at the “Big Brother” house is “not being able to have your own space and alone time.”
She adds “I love being around people, but I’m definitely one to have my special me time.”
Iocco has said she will “come off as the dumb ditzy blonde,” but believes she has a good chance of winning the $500,000 grand prize.
“I’m actually really smart and good at reading through people’s lies,” Iocco said.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Iocco said she asked producers if she could bring her spray tan machine into the “Big Brother” house but was told no.
Executive producer Allison Grodner says the cast has “great personalities” and “types that we’ve never seen before.”
There was also a big surprise for the new houseguests and longtime viewers of the show as four past contestants of “Big Brother” returned on the show’s season premiere.
Britney Haynes from Season 12, Janelle Pierzina from Season 6, Mike “Boogie” Malin from Seasons 2 and 7 and Dan Gheesling from Season 10 all will compete for a separate prize.
"Big Brother" airs three times a week on Sundays and Wednesdays, from 8-9 p.m. and Thursdays from 9-10 p.m. A houseguest will be voted out during each Thursday show, beginning July 19.
