Rapper Tyler "The Creator" Arrested

WEST HOLLYWOOD—On Friday, December 23 in the City of
West Hollywood, rapper Tyler, The Creator, was arrested on vandalism charges
after allegedly destroying a soundboard at the Roxy Theatre. He was performing
with his group Odd Future at the time.

Authorities at the Roxy Theatre called for the deputy
officials to arrive at the scene.According to reports, as the rapper (whose real name is Tyler Gregory
Okonma) was being arrested, several members from the crowd tried to attack
deputies. No one was injured and no arrests were made but additional deputies
were called to the scene to clear up the Sunset Strip area.
The American-born rapper is also a record producer,
video director, graphic artist, and fashion designer. Originally from the Los
Angeles area, he is the leader of the alternative collective Odd Future Wolf
Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA). On December 25, 2009 Tyler self-released his
first album shockingly entitled "Bastard."A couple of years later, he released a music
video for “Yonkers” which was the first single from his second album "Goblin." The album was released on May
10, 2011.
Tyler, 20, is supposedly scheduled for a 2012
release of his third album, "Wolf."Reportedly,
the album will contain instrumentals that he has created since the age of 15. Tyler
recently won “Best New Artist” for “Yonkers” at the 2011 MTV Video Music
Awards. He also won “Rookie of The Year” and “Must Follow Artist” awards for
MTV as well.
