WEST HOLLYWOOD—The City of West Hollywood is becoming environmentally friendly by hosting the third annual weekend long event called “WehoGrnWknd.”

One of the two “Green” activities is the Citywide Yard Sale. The yard sale will begin on Saturday, July 20 and end on Sunday, July 21. Participants in the event can register their yard sale with the city by listing the date, time and location of the yard sale. The purpose of the Citywide Yard Sale is to reduce waste by keeping items out of the landfills and reusing valuable resources.

The second “Green” activity is the free Document Shredding and Electronic Waste Collection Event taking place on Saturday, July 20. This event allows for individuals to shred documents and papers in a secure location and will reduce paper waste by shredding the documents. This event will take place at 8300 Santa Monica Blvd. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
