WEST HOLLYWOOD— Zen Healing, a medical marijuana dispensary operated by Andrew Kramer since the year 2003, announced last week its new project for supplying military veterans with medical marijuana.

Kramer decided to support war veterans after witnessing firsthand soldiers suffering from anxiety from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and how cannabis has the ability to heal this condition. Cannabis will be free of charge to military veterans who have a medical marijuana card. The clinic has worked with California Vet Meds, an organization that helps veterans obtaining medical marijuana as well as other forms of health care that are not provided through the VA system.

Zen Healing has participated in a number of charitable causes including feeding the homeless since 2006 on a bi-weekly basis at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hollywood.  The company has also raised funds for Being Alive, an organization assisting people affected by HIV/AIDS.

Kramer recently introduced the Veteran Patient Program. It benefits patients with proof of military service to receive a glass container with a quarter-ounce of high-quality cannabis every three months at no cost to them.

The dispensary’s members come from all walks of life and suffer from distinct conditions that include AIDS/HIV, cancer, scleroderma, anxiety, seizure disorder insomnia, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, chronic pain, nausea, Crohn’s disease and eating disorders.
