WeHo's Winter Sound Concert Series

WEST HOLLYWOOD—The city of West Hollywood will be hosting their first ever 2013 Winter Sounds Concert Series, beginning January 26 and running until March 24, which will host a range of music types at various locations throughout the city. 

 

The event is presented through the city’s Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission and will feature the musical styles of big band, jazz, classical, and contemporary music at the WeHo Library Council Chambers, Fiesta Hall, and Kings Road Park.

The Winter Sounds Concert Series will start off with the Jazz Bliss Brazil, a Los Angeles based classic American band composed of voice, reeds, guitar, bass, and percussion who will perform at the Library Council Chamber, located at 625 N. San Vincente, on Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m.

 

The rest of the schedule for the series is as follows:

 

On February 3, the following Saturday, the Library Council Chamber will host Rita Treger and Jacqueline Suzuki at 3:00 p.m.

 

At 3:00 p.m. the next Saturday, February 9, the Benedikt Brydern Quartet, a Bjango Reindhardt Tribute band, will perform at Kings Road Park, located at 1000 N. Kings Road.

 

Jacob and Sergey Duo, a band with styles that range from classical to pop, will perform at the Library Council Chamber at 3:00 p.m. on February 23.

 

Entitled “ Liberty-A Musical Journey Through Rhythm, Roots, and Rhyme,” Ali Louis and her Jazz Quartet will play at the Library Council Chamber Saturday, March 9 at 3:00 p.m.

 

And lastly, the Paul McDonald Big Band will be playing at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 at the Fiesta Hall, Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard.

 

All shows are free and open to the public. There is first-come, first-serve seating, and free validated parking is available at West Hollywood’s Library Council Chambers (located at street level in the AutoCourt at 625 N. Vincente Boulevard).
