WEST HOLLYWOOD—On Tuesday, August 7, the City of West Hollywood showed its neighborhood spirit as it celebrated National Night Out. This annual event seeks to unify communities across the country for a night of fun in a "show of unity against crime."
From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., travel through WeHo's neighborhoods and stop at the many free block parties, hosted by the city's neighborhood watch groups in coordination with the L.A. County Sheriff's and Fire Departments as well as city officials.
As you walk from block to block, you will get the opportunity to meet your neighbors and the organizations that work to keep the city safe. Nearly 2,000 West Hollywood residents are expected to celebrate and help curb crime with the power of community.
The night will end in Plummer Park with a free movie screening of "The Artist." You may even get to meet West Hollywood Mayor Jeffrey Prang, who will be in attendance.
