WESTWOOD—The Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department and Los Angeles Police Department  responded to an incident in front of the Westwood Federal Building during a Pro-Israel rally; where one man suffered a broken arm.

The rally was being held by a Pro-Israel group whom obtained a permit to demonstrate amid the renewed fight between the Israeli military and Hamas. Over 1,500 people attended the rally, according to LAPD Commander Andy Smith.

After the rally began, a smaller group of Palestinian supporters began a counter-demonstration on the opposite side of Wilshire.

Authorities closed down Wilshire for 30-minutes, and no arrests were made. The injured man was taken to hospital to treat his broken extremity.
