UCLA Co-Hosts Mayoral Debate

WESTWOOD—UCLA will be co-hosting the live Mayoral Debate on January 28, 2013 at 7 p.m. and NBC4 chief political reporter Conan Nolan will moderate it.
Franklin D. Gilliam Jr., dean of the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, will be a panelist in the debate. In addition, the Los Angeles Coalition for the Economy & Jobs will also help host the debate.
Panelists for the Debate
The focus of the panel will be on how to create jobs and the economy. According to UCLA, the four participants running as mayoral candidates include, City Councilman Eric Garcetti, attorney and radio talk show host Kevin James, City Councilwoman Jan Perry and City Controller Wendy Greul. The panelists, Gilliam included as well will ask the candidates questions.
Tickets are free and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis through Ticketmaster with a limit of one ticket per person. Tickets are required in order to be admitted at Royce Hall where the debate will take place. UCLA students, faculty and staff are able to pick up tickets at the Central Ticket Office starting Wednesday, January 9. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced.
Parking will be available in Parking Structures 4 and 7 (P4 & P7) at a $5 cost. Attendees are encouraged to walk to Royce Hall.
