UCLA Police Seeking Sexual Battery Suspect

WESTWOOD — Authorities are searching for a suspect in connection to a sexual battery incident on Sunday, December 1 on the UCLA campus.
According to the UCLA Police Department, the male suspect approached the victim on the A-Level of Murphy Hall around 6:50 p.m. Both the suspect and victim were standing by the elevators when the suspect asked for directions from the victim. He then proceeded to, according to an advisory from police, “briefly touch” the victim. The suspect subsequently fled when she threatened to call police.
The suspect is described as a 20-year-old Hispanic male, about 5 feet and 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was seen to be wearing a beige sweater with dark brown stripes, blue Levi jeans, white tennis shoes and a black backpack.
