WB Announces 2013 Honorship Recipients

WESTWOOD—Warner Bros. Entertainment has announced high school seniors Alexi Fiumani, Karl Ravancho, Isabel De Honor, Richard Kent, and Samuel Park as the 2013 Reach Honorship recipients on Friday, June 28.
Every year, Warner Bros awards six graduating high school seniors who are passionate about the entertainment industry. The awards include scholarships, as well as the opportunity to complete four summer internships at Warner Bros. The recipients can begin their internship in the summer immediately following their high school graduation. Each summer, the recipients are paired with executive mentors and provided with unique networking opportunities with professionals from the entertainment industry. Successful scholars are also eligible for full-time positions at the company after completing their respective degrees.
“The Reach program allows us to identify up-and-coming talent in our local community,” said Michael Walbrecht, Vice President of Public Affairs at Warner Bros. Entertainment. He said that they are “committed to the professional development of our Reach recipients, and the internships provide them with the unique opportunity to gain practical experience within multiple departments at Warner Bros. while honing crucial business skills and building relationships with industry professionals.”
Fiumani and Ravancho are recent graduates from
High School and
High School. Fiumani is going to be attending
University in Fall 2013, and is planning to study marketing. Ravancho will be attending the
Berkeley to study business administration with an emphasis in marketing in Spring 2014. Both scholars will receive a $10,000 scholarship to attend college, as well as the opportunity to complete four consecutive paid summer internships at the Warner Bros. Studio while still in school.
Isabel De Honor, Richard Kent and Samuel Park received the Los Angeles Country Reach Honorships. All three will also be given the same financial scholarship to attend college as well as the same opportunity to complete internships for four years throughout their summers while in college.
De Honor is a graduate from the
Senior High School and intends to study communications at
University in Fall 2013.
High School, and plans on studying international studies and entertainment business related subjects at the
California in the fall. Park will be attending
University to study psychology and is a graduate of
Warner Bros. Entertainment has awarded scholarship-internship packages to graduating high school seniors from
Burbank and throughout Los Angeles Country with demonstrated financial need and a passion for the entertainment industry since 2005.
