Woman Killed In Car Accident Identified

WESTWOOD—Samantha Lawson, 25, of Suntan Valley, Arizona has been identified as the woman who was killed as a result of a two-car collision on Friday, April 26.


The accident occurred just before 6 p.m. Friday evening when the 20-year-old driver of a Ford Focus attempted to make a U-turn at Sepulveda Boulevard and Montana, going southbound on Sepulveda. Three people were inside the vehicle, including the driver. The 33-year-old driver of a Chevy Suburban struck the Ford Focus, causing a two-car collision.


There was only one individual in the Chevy and the driver as well as the three others in the Ford, were taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Three of the individuals were treated for minor injuries. Lawson, who had yet to be identified at the time, was pronounced dead at 8:18 p.m. on Friday. No one was arrested or given tickets as a result of the accident.
