Congressman Brad Sherman
WOODLAND HILLS—Residents will have the opportunity to speak with a member of the U.S. House of Representatives when Congressman Brad Sherman visits the city for two town hall meetings scheduled in August and September.

The August 25 gathering will occur from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. whereas the September 15 meeting will last from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Both town hall meetings will be hosted by Congressman Sherman at El Camino High School, located at 5440 Valley Circle Boulevard in Woodland Hills. The forums are free and open to the public. Both dates are on a Sunday.

Among the topics Congressman Sherman may touch on include the economy and its current state, the debate on Medicare, the federal deficit, immigration and the Middle East, and he will answer questions about current contentions in Congress. His staff associates will also attend the event to help attendants with any complications they might have with federal agencies.

Congressman Sherman is currently serving his eight term in Congress, and he is a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Financial Services Committee as well as the senior Democrat on the Subcommittee on International Terrorism, Nonproliferation and Trade. According to his office, Congressman Sherman has held over 160 town hall meetings in numerous schools throughout the San Fernando Valley during his tenure in Congress.

Prospective attendees may visit the Congressman's website at http://bradsherman.house.gov/index.shtmlfor more information on the Congressman and future events.
