WOODLAND HILLS—On Friday, July 20, American Honda Motor Inc. delivered the first all-electric 2013 Honda Fit EV to a couple residing in the area.
"It's truly an honor to take delivery of the first Honda Fit EV and participate in the advancement of all-electric vehicles in the real world," said Walton. "The Honda Fit EV is not only a sustainable and energy efficient transportation option with the highest fuel-efficiency rating of any EV, but it has the added bonus of being fun-to-drive and can fully recharge from empty in less than three hours."
The 2013 Honda Fit EV earned a combined adjusted Environmental Protection Agency mile-per-gallon equivalency rating of 118 miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent and a consumption rating of just 29 kilowatt hours per 100 miles. The 118 MPGe1 reflects a combination of city, highway and combined miles per gallon of 132, 105 and 118.
The Fit EV will be available on a lease-only basis beginning in California and Oregon. Availability will expand to the east coast in early 2013. The Fit EV’s lease price is $389 per month over three years. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $36,625.
