A Honda news release indicates Matt and Becky Walton received their vehicle at the Woodland Hills dealership located at 6111 Topanga Blvd.  The Waltons were the first registrants to sign up to lease the vehicle at www.fitev.honda.com and said they plan to use their vehicle for daily commuting.

"It's truly an honor to take delivery of the first Honda Fit EV and participate in the advancement of all-electric vehicles in the real world," said Walton. "The Honda Fit EV is not only a sustainable and energy efficient transportation option with the highest fuel-efficiency rating of any EV, but it has the added bonus of being fun-to-drive and can fully recharge from empty in less than three hours."

The 2013 Honda Fit EV earned a combined adjusted Environmental Protection Agency mile-per-gallon equivalency rating of 118 miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent and a consumption rating of just 29 kilowatt hours per 100 miles.  The 118 MPGe1 reflects a combination of city, highway and combined miles per gallon of 132, 105 and 118.

The Fit EV will be available on a lease-only basis beginning in California and Oregon.  Availability will expand to the east coast in early 2013.  The Fit EV’s lease price is $389 per month over three years.  The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $36,625.
