Multi-Vehicle Crash In Woodland Hills

WOODLAND HILLS—A multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday, September 5, caused bumper-to-bumper traffic for three miles on the 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills.

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on the eastbound 101 just past Winnetka Avenue. According to the California Highway patrol, at least four cars were flipped over.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene and reported that no one was critically injured due to the crash. Authorities stated that as many as 14 people were involved in the incident and 6 were taken to a local hospital.


The entire eastbound 101 was shut down for about an hour as traffic was diverted at Winnetka Avenue. The three left lanes were reopened at approximately 6:45 a.m. and all lanes were open a little after 7 a.m.

The cause of the incident had not been determined as of press time.
