Six-Car Crash On Ventura Freeway

WOODLAND HILLS—Around 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, April 28, two collisions resulted in a six-car crash on the 101-Ventura freeway in Woodland Hills. Among those involved in the accident were two couples who were on their way home from their high school prom.


The accident occurred as the result of two cars crashing into the center divider on the eastbound Ventura freeway just east of De Soto Avenue. The collision caused four other cars to crash as well in an attempt to avoid the initial accident.


The Los Angele Fire Department was called to the scene approximately ten minutes after the accident and the freeway was closed for about one hour. Minor injuries were reported, but according to the California Highway Patrol, the vehicles were severely damaged as a result. The cause of the accident hasn’t been disclosed.
