WOODLAND HILLS—On Tuesday, August 28, a medical marijuana dispensary was raided that resulted in the arrest of two women.  A cache of narcotics, money and other evidence of illegal drug sales was also seized in the raid.

The Los Angeles Police Department blog indicates around 3 p.m., detectives from the Topanga Area Narcotics Enforcement Detail arrived at the dispensary in the 21100 block of Ventura Boulevard with a search warrant.  Detectives arrested 21-year-old Anna Woods of Thousand Oaks and 22-year-old Carmen Hsieh of Los Angeles.  The suspects were booked for Possession for Sales of Marijuana and booked at the LAPD’s Valley Jail Section in Van Nuys.  They are each being held on $20,000 bail.

The arrests culminated an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Community Police Station into the illegal sales of marijuana from the dispensary.  Approximately $1,000 in cash was recovered by investigators along with about 10 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $30,000.

An additional arrest warrant will be sought by investigators through the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for an additional suspect who was not present when the initial search warrant was served.
