Hit-And-Run Suspect Turns Himself In

WOODLAND HILLS—On Monday, October 7, Grant Valentine, 26, was involved in a hit-and-run incident just after midnight. Valentine struck and killed a man in his 50s.


Witnesses indicated the victim was crossing in the middle of the street, when he was struck by Valentine who was driving beyond the speed limit. The suspect turned himself in with his attorney present to the police department’s Valley Traffic Division in Panorama City.  


The incident occurred at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Gaviota Avenue in Encino. The suspect is currently in police custody where his bail was set at $50,000. Canyon News attempted to reach out to Valley Traffic Division Officer Fuentes, but did not hear back before press.
