WEST HOLLYWOOD—The DASH Boutique, owned by the Kardashian sisters, in West Hollywood was part of an arson attempt on Monday, June 6 when someone threw a lit object through a window, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Around 11:20 p.m. on Monday, the West Hollywood Sheriff’s station received a call from a passerby in the 8400 block of Melrose Avenue saying they had witnessed a male throwing a lit object through a broken window at DASH. A little later desk personnel at the station received a call from an alarm company indicating a burglary alarm had been activated at the location.

Deputies from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s station and the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the location and saw a broken window and “a smoldering object” inside the women’s clothing store. The fire department removed the object and determined this had been a case of attempted arson.

The object had failed to ignite anything in the store and the damage to the property was a broken window and damaged floor tiles. No suspects have been arrested and no injuries were reported.
