HOLLYWOOD—Actress and singer Bella Thorne, 20, was home alone on Tuesday, August 21, when a burglar attempted to break into her residence.
At around 10 p.m., the alleged burglar smashed a glass window in an attempt to get inside the home located in the San Fernando Valley region. Upon hearing the noise of the shattered glass, Thorne went outside to investigate what was going on, TMZ reported. She re-entered the home and contacted authorities.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the home to investigate, but did not find the person responsible for the attempted break-in. Authorities stated to the press that Thorne might have scared away the burglar away when she went outside to check the noise.
Thorne’s home is not the only celebrity home to be recently broken into. Singer John Mayer’s home was burglarized two weeks ago and between $100,000 and $200,000 worth of personal items were stolen from his Beverly Hills residence.
Thorne starting her acting career as Cece Jones on Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up.” She recently appeared in the Netflix thriller “You Get Me” and in this year’s romantic drama “Midnight Sun.” The star recently gave her first festival performance during this past weekend’s Billboard Hot 100 Festival.
