LOS ANGELES—Patrons gathered Downtown Los Angeles to celebrate Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) annual BET Live Experience.

The three-day celebration of music, food, fun, entertainment and products, began with a concert at theStaples Center on Friday featuring Maxwell and Jill Scott. Scott wowed the crowd by performing some of her favorites and Maxwell soothed the audience with his hits as well, including “The Fire We Make” featuring Alicia Keys.

Celebrations continued on Saturday with a fan fest, where fans were able to meet their favorite artists and a gospel showcase that took place later that evening. The days preceding featured Faith Evans, Mary J Blige, K. Michelle and Outkast (who had reunited for this occasion).

Gospel singer, Hezekiah Walker was the host for the gospel stage which featured City of Refuge Psalmschoir, Greater Zion Voices of Destiney, Faithful Central Bible Church mass choir, West Angeles choir and Myesha Chaney and Antioch Church of Long Beach worship team.

BET experience 2014 ended on Sunday with the annual BET Music Awards.
