BEVERLY HILLS—A man was arrested outside of a Beverly Hills home on Tuesday, December 30.

The incident occurred on the 100 block of South Clark Drive.

The man was arrested in connection with domestic violence allegations. At around 1:00 p.m., officers from the Beverly Hills Police Department arrived to serve an emergency protective order.

The purpose of an emergency protective order, according to USLegal.com, “is to protect health and safety in an emergency. It can be a useful tool for victims of domestic abuse to increase their safety.”

The man refused to cooperate and ran inside the home. The police did not know if he was armed or not and a standoff ensued.

The incident ended peacefully when the suspect came out and surrendered at around 2:30 p.m.
