BEVERLY HILLS—The Beverly Hills Police Department has implemented the second phase of their body camera testing. The police department has been testing cameras from two manufacturers.

Lt. Hoshino from the BHPD indicated in a press release to Canyon News that the department will utilize cameras during a six-month evaluation period from both TASER and COBAN. The cameras will be utilized by officers in the field. A total of 10 field officers working in patrol and traffic will be equipped with the cameras during the evaluation process.

The cameras will be given out to individual officers, who will be activating the camera to record contacts while in the performance of his/her official duties.
