STUDIO CITY—At around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call of a vehicle fire on Radford Street. The vehicle was situated under the 101 Freeway near Hortense Street. Arriving at the overpass, officials found a dark-colored 1989 Toyota Camry entirely engulfed in flames. After tackling the fire, firefighters discovered a dead body in the back of the vehicle.

The Los Angeles Police Department was called in to investigate. Though no identification of the body has been made, police have classified the death as suspicious in nature.  Early speculations reveal that the location of the vehicle, under such a noisy freeway overpass, may hinder the investigation, as people may not have heard anything; therefore, possible witnesses may be limited.

However, anyone with information is urged to contact the North Hollywood Homicide Detectives at 818-623-4075.  Afterhours and on the weekend, calls should be made to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 and anyone wanting to stay anonymous can contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
