PASADENA—It was pandemonium in Pasadena on Sunday, September 3, when UCLA QB Josh Rosen threw a 10-yard TD strike to Wide Receiver Jordan Lasley in the back corner of the end zone with 43 seconds remaining. As Lasley’s foot hit the blue chalk in the back of the end zone, the sidelines and crowd burst into euphoria.

The final score: UCLA 45, Texas A&M 44. The epic, borderline inconceivable comeback, the Bruins found themselves down 44-10 in the second half, before scoring 35 unanswered points to cap the greatest comeback in College football history.

It was sweet revenge for last years matchup, when the Bruins lost to the Aggies, 31-24 in OT. The remarkable moment in Bruins history was made possible courtesy of Rosen. He went 35\59 with 491 yards, in addition, all four of his touchdown passes came in the 4th quarter. After this excellent performance, Rosen is certainly a Heisman hopeful.

Rosen threw touchdown passes of 9 and 42 yards to Darren Andrews, which went through an A&M defenders hands into Andrews’lap. Before finding Theo Howard for a 16-yard score on a broken play with 3:08 remaining.

It was a tale of two halves, the first dominated by the Aggies. Their ground attack was incredible. Trayveon Williams rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns, and Keith Ford added 114 yards rushing and three touchdowns for the Aggies.

Even worse, the Bruins were careless with the ball, forcing three turnovers. The offensive line was incapable of protecting Rosen early, he was clobbered and tossed around like a rag doll. Everytime however, he popped right up and went back to the huddle.

It must have been one motivating, profanity laced locker room, because the Bruins showed up in the second half. The O-line began protecting Rosen, who neutralized the Aggies swarming pass rush with screen passes, and quick strikes to one Caleb Wilson.

The Tight End had a marvelous game, Wilson had 15 receptions for 203 yards.

UCLA got the ball with 2:39 remaining, no timeouts left, 51 yards to victory. On a critical fourth down in the red zone, Rosen found Running Back Soso Jamambo in the flat to keep the drive alive.

Rosen quickly went under center, once the ball was snapped he faked spiked the ball, a la Dan Marino before winding up and throwing a crisp fade to the back of the end zone. Lasley lept above the Aggies cornerback, hauled in the touchdown reception to immortality.

The Rose Bowl was on fire and not just from scorching temperature of So Cal, mixed with unexpected showers. The heat emiting from the fireworks; this spectacular display punctuated one of the biggest victories in UCLA football history!
