MALIBU—Edis Gonzales-Lopez, 19, a burglar on the run, escaped from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station on Tuesday, October 16.

Gonzales-Lopez is a Hispanic male, standing 5 foot and 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and is considered a low-level risk inmate, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department noted. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and an unknown color of the pants.

Gonzales-Lopez was arrested on September 17 by the Los Angeles Police Department – Foothill Division for Burglary. His next court date was scheduled for November 14 at North Valley Superior Court. He was serving as a trustee worker, when at 5:28 p.m. he climbed over the wall of Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

He was frequently seen around the Pacoima area before his arrest. Authorities have not yet located the suspect.
