STUDIO CITY—Handsome and talented actor Camden Toy also dabbles in other aspects of the entertainment industry aside from his amazing work as an actor in front of the camera. “I also enjoy writing and since appearing on-screen on Gregori Martin’s ”˜The Bay,’ it’s given me a lot of motivation to get back into my writing mode,” said Toy to Canyon News.

Camden has starred in “The Bay” and “Good Night Burbank,” and he is a veteran icon from the WB’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” where he famously portrayed the evil demon Gnarl.

Camden has also acted in well over 100 independent films, including “Vertical City,” “The Killers,” “My Chorus,” “Backgammon,” “Morning Glory,” “Irascible” and “The Works,” with an additional half dozen currently in production. Word has also hit the industry that the hit web series, “The Bay,” has been purchased and may arrive on the small screen in 2012. “That’s no small part to Gregori’s work and his creation. He’s worked very hard on ”˜The Bay’ and as an actor, I have to admit he’s one of the easiest producers to work for,” said Camden.

“Writing is a process I have really enjoyed in the past. Over my career, Tommy I have done acting for a while, then I get into the writing mode, and also I’ve been a film editor. I was editor for ‘The Sleep Eaters’ and ‘Zen Noir.’ I can’t really decide what I enjoy most, to be honest,” said Toy. “I do know that whenever I am acting, I love it, especially the projects I’ve been doing lately, and I did enjoy appearing on ”˜Buffy: The Vampire Slayer’ and ”˜Angel.’ There are so many great parts, but when I am writing, I can so enjoy that experience as well.”

Directing is also a dream for the multi-talented star. “Sure, that’s the ultimate. Since working with so many great directors over the years, that is also a goal. I suppose I sound fickle, but it’s not that at all. It’s just simply gratifying to be able to do what we love every day, you know that, Tommy. And there are plenty of things in entertainment I’m ready to try,” concluded the star.

Next up? Toy’s amazing performance in this spring’s big screen epic “Thor.”
